actress Anandhi says; “I had no passion for films before I entered the industry," she clarifies. "Only after Kayal did I start learning about cinema, and then developed a passion for my career. The credit definitely goes to Prabu Solomon sir,” says the actress, who will be seen in Enakku Innoru Per Irukku, which releases on June 17.
“In this movie, I play the proud daughter of a don. Though the movie is a commercial entertainer, humour is the main element connecting the storyline.” So was the movie likely to be along the lines of Trisha Illana Nayanthara? “Definitely not. I listened to the script before I signed the project. I also liked Sam Anton’s work in Darling which convinced me to take upEnakku Innoru Per Irukku,” says the actress.
Anandhi also says she would never want to be part of a movie like Trisha Illana Nayantharaagain. “That was a mistake. The scenes were narrated to me on the sets and my language problem added to all that was wrong with it. And I sulked when I saw the movie on screen. I will never work in such a movie ever again,” she says fervently.
The actress who played a village belle in Kayal says she is choosy when it comes to selecting scripts. “There are lots of female-centric movies in Tamil cinema. I wish I could be a part of one such movie in the future. Also, I have no hesitation in saying ‘no’ to glamorous roles. There are many other roles that could showcase my acting prowess. As my passion for films has grown, I want to deliver good movies for my fans,” she says. Anandhi will be seen inPandigai and Faisal later this year.
